The Marquette Building, designed by the St. Louis architecture partnership of Eames and Young, was completed in 1914. The 19 story building, located in downtown St. Louis' central business district, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2007, the Marquette Building was thoughtfully renovated into downtown St. Louis' premier residential address.
Simplified Chicago style with restrained Beaux-Arts ornament. A communications mast surmounting the penthouse was one of the highest structures in the city until its removal in 2006.
The building underwent conversion to residential use in 2006, with a replica cornice completing its long-shorn crown.
